Besides sewing, I also love to teach it, and I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to work as a sewing instructor in several fabric stores around my town. I truly believe that in teaching, one learns too. I began teaching through my first classes on Skillshare, and when I moved back to the States, I taught at Boxer Craft House in Ranson, WV—an experience I really enjoyed. Now, I also teach at Web Fabrics in Purcellville, VA, and Sew Chaotic in Winchester, VA. This Fall 2025, I’m excited to be teaching an online workshop at Making Zen, a sewing retreat that takes place twice a year, in Spring and Fall. My class will focus on Creative Repairs with Decorative Stitches. Teaching makes me so happy because I believe sewing is for everyone—and that creativity can truly soothe the soul.
